Zombtober 2

My second post for Zomtober. M y aim will be to do more than the minimum but its a bit busy at the moment. My second subject is an old Citadel Zombie C18  Deadringer  square based although as I said I am toying with  moving him to a circle base as most of my other  stuff is already on circles. That is why there is no flock. Painted the same time as the last entry he is newly dead with a normal flesh tone and dripping blood, with a lot of his skin torn off free showing skeletal arms. Only took me some 20+ years to finally get around to painting. Zombtober Information The detail behind  zombtober can be found on  Pulpcitizen's post  HERE . Zomtober Post 1

This is my first year of trying out for Zomtober and I am already late for the first post mainly due to being  out yesterday. The detail behind  zombtober can be found on  Pulpcitizen's post  HERE . Helping Hands 12 - Merc Captain

Twelfth, and final  of the monthly posting of the other world Henchman in conjunction with  Duke of the Blood Keep  and  Minis by Finch . The captain is tin the same colours as his  colleagues , but having recently invested in  the  foundry paint set he has slightly  difference  coloured cloak. I also managed to get the 2  other world  dogs done  this  month and was planning on a brief photo shoot today using natural light but the heavens have  opened so maybe next week

ECW Challenge

Last night after the SEEMS AGM Alan confirmed that he is aiming to paint up a few ECW figures. I have nearly agreed to aim to get 50 or so done by December with the intention of a game and as Alan is aiming for Royalist it leaves me the Parliamentarians. My Parliamentarians will be red coats based on the NMA or possibly orange coats for the foot. https://www.baccus6mm.com/includes/howto/ecw/essexguide_text.inc.php My initial target (in line with the lion rampant rules) will be:- 1st Unit Pike and command         12 figs 1 st  Units Shot                              12 figs 2nd Units Shot                             12 figs 1st Unit Cavalry                             6 figs 2nd Units Cavalry                          6 figs So 48 Figures target in 8 months – 6 figures/month. Should be achievable even if I get distracted. And as extra 1 st  Units skirmishers/dismounted dragoons        12 figs 1st Unit Mounted dragoons

Helping Hands 11 - Spear Merc

Eleventh   of the monthly posting of the other world Henchman in conjunction with  Duke of the Blood Keep  and  Minis by Finch  Only one more to do plus of course the obligatory group shot. Counting my fantasy adventurers the other day I realized I had nearly 100 painted so in theory I never need to paint another one as in all likelihood I will be using no  more than 10 at one time. The spear armed Merc has the same armour as the last one but this time for the flesh I have used the foundry 3 stage flesh triad that I picked up at salute and quite like this morning (I hated it last night).  I nearly missed the deadline this month despite having completed most of this figure a month or two ago. Overall this is only the second figure I have painted this month compared to 25 in January when I finished my Yanks. Hopefully my painting enthusiasm will kick start as I have loads to do with two new projects ready to be painted, mainly ECW and Lion Rampant WOTRs.  This of course ignor

Helping Hands 10 Crossbow Merc

Tenth  of the monthly posting of the other world Henchman in conjunction with  Duke of the Blood Keep  and  Minis by Finch   My crossbow merc also has yellow as one colours. The armour was built up using Vallejo Field Blue. The other two merc will be also be sporting nifty blue cloaks. Although not featured some of my other otherworld figures should be making their first bid for fame in a game at SEEMS tomorrow using the SOBH rules. I will post up some pics. As an aside it is certainly making me realise that my figures look a bit better on the table top than they do with the glory of close up exposing all the flaws.

Helping Hands 9 - Dwarf Merc

Ninth  of the monthly posting of the other world Henchman in conjunction with  Duke of the Blood Keep  and  Minis by Finch   Continuing with my experiments in yellow I have a dwarf mercenary looking rather stern but hoping not to get his axe wet. One of only a few figures painted this month due to real life getting in the way.

Helping Hands 8 - Lantern Bearer

Eighth  of the monthly posting of the other world Henchman in conjunction with  Duke of the Blood Keep  and  Minis by Finch   This time it is the lantern bearer with my first attempt at some yellow for a while (more on next month effort). The only fantasy figure painted this month as I concentrated on finishing off my WW2 Yanks. With next month’s already in the bag I might actually finish all 12 in the given year.
